Intro
The Labor Tab shows the Crew assigned to a Work Order and their assigned role. Foreman & Superintendents can see the Labor Records each crew logs on a Work Order, clock a crew member in and/or out, and manage incorrect Time Entrys before completing them.
Superintendent
Super Permissions Required
Only users with Superintendent permissions can be assigned to this field.
The top section of the Labor Tab shows the assigned Superintendent. A superintendent must be assigned to the Work Order before the Foreman can complete their process. The Foreman can assign or change which Superintendent is assigned to the Work Order but should only do this in coordination with the selected Super.
The assigned Superintendent will be required to approve all labor as part of their CheckOut process after the Foreman has completed their CheckOut.
Crew Leader/Foreman
Foreman & Super Permission
Only users with Foreman or Superintendent permissions can be assigned to this field.
The Crew Leader/Foreman is the person directly in charge of the Work Order. This person is responsible for the quality and accuracy of work completed on site.
Crew Members
The crew members' roster shows a complete list of all other Crew assigned to the Work Order. Users can view and make corrections to their individual Labor Records when they clock out of an assigned Work Order.
Be Aware
Corrections are meant to address occasional mistakes or technical issues. Repeated corrections due to negligence will affect Performance reviews and be grounds for a write up.
Status Circles
Within each Labor Record is a small status circle at the far left, next to the user's name. This circle can show one of three colors:
Gray status circles have not logged any time.
Green status circles are currently clocked in.
Yellow status circles are currently clocked out.
Approval Circles
To the right of each record are a hollow green and blue approval circle. These indicators show if a Labor Record has been completed, and which role has completed them. They only appear when a labor record has logged time on the Work Order:
A hollow circle indicates no completion.
A green checkmark indicates that the Foreman has completed the record.
A blue checkmark indicates that a Superintendent has completed the record.
The procedures for making or accepting Labor Record completions, and labor CheckOut, are documented here.
Validation Steps
Foreman & Superintendent Permission
This tool is visible to all users with Work Order access but intended for users with Foreman & Super permissions.
The validation steps are a checklist showing the information required to complete Work Order CheckOut. This information is used by Foreman and Supers to help complete their CheckOut process and will change depending on the context.
If labor entries have been added to the labor tab, extra steps will appear that need to be resolved before CheckOut can be completed.
Edit Or Update Records
Users with permission can select each person's record to expand or collapse it. This shows all time entries made by that user for the current Work Order, which can be approved or managed.
See HR Timecard for More Info
Actions taken by a Foreman or Super on a Time Entry can be reviewed by users in the Timecard Module, which is documented here.
See Labor Checkout Procedure
The process for making changes to a labor record is documented here.
